What makes the perfect tee? Softness and durability.

For years, we were frustrated that we couldn’t find both qualities in one fabric. If it was soft, it was full of rayon or polyester and would fall apart after a few wears or look see-through because the fabric was too thin. If it was durable enough, it felt stiff and boxy or was full of elastic—just an all around awful wearing experience.

Finding a 100% cotton fabric that worked seemed impossible. But we love a challenge. So we spent three years custom developing our own fabric and we’re thrilled to bring you…

Float Jersey™—finally, softness meets durability in the ultimate t-shirt material. So how did we do it? We’ll let you in on a little secret.

To make our super soft Pima cotton durable enough, we take two layers of fabric (most companies just use one) and then take an ultra-fine yarn to make a “float” stitch that knits the two layers together. Voila! Softness and durability together. And no need for any elastic with this method, as it’s inherently weaker than cotton and is the reason t-shirts so often become irreversibly baggy after a few wears. Our Float Jersey™ has an incredible stretch and return factor that mimics brand new elastic but it’s 100% cotton with a dreamy, pillowy feel. Once you try it, you’ll never go back.
