This easy, homemade lemonade means Spring is here!
Nothing says summer like a tall, cool glass of lemonade (and one that costs 25 cents? Even better!) Most store-bought pre-made lemonade is way too sugary.
This simple recipe is the perfect ratio of fresh lemon and sweet sugar.
You need only 3 ingredients to make this fresh homemade lemonade – freshly squeezed lemon juice, sweetener of choice, and water.
The most important part of making a good lemonade is to use the right ratio of lemon juice, sugar, and water. The perfect ratio is 8 – 2 – 8 (8 lemons, 2 cups sugar, 8 cups water).
Always use fresh lemons, instead of bottle bought.
Choose large lemons and avoid ones that have green spots.
If you can, find Meyer lemons, they are the sweetest and juiciest.
To get the most out of your lemon, roll them before you cut them, this
releases their juices.
