We are all in need of a whole lot of LOVE this year, and we've already started thinking about how to make this Valentine's Day extra special. Check out our ideas for getting creative, or keeping it simple and sweet this holiday.
At Home Crafting
Claire, our fearless founder, is no stranger to breaking out the construction paper and scissors the night before the big day. Here are some of her tips to make it creative and interactive with your kids. "Go with something that your kids are into at the time. Do they love ladybugs? Get ladybug chocolates and glue them to construction paper leaves. Do they love trucks, but are too little to draw? Have them roll their trucks through washable paint and drive the trucks over paper to make cool designs... then just glue a candy on top and voila!"
We love this clever frog project she worked on with her kiddos a couple years ago. Just cut long strips of pink construction paper for the frogs tongue, then write the valentine's message on the paper and roll it up so it forms the frog tongue. You can even cut out a little lily pad out of green paper and glue it on the bottom. Done and done! Super cute and super easy.

Watercolor Leaves
Pull out the watercolor paints and have your little one go wild with green paint. Then use scissors to cut out leaves. Write a note on the leaf (or lily pad) and glue a chocolate frog on and voila!
Fish & Bubbles
We love this clever idea that only uses a couple of supplies. We used white paper, watercolors, and the circular top of a lipstick to form the little bubbles! Just dip the lipstick top in water and then the watercolors and press down on the paper to make a collage of colorful bubbles. Cut them out in fun shapes and attach fish chocolates.
Crafty Under Age 3
Don't worry, we didn't forget about the littlest of Valentine's. For our youngest we pull out planes, trucks, or any other small automobile toys, a sheet pan and some watercolor. Use a brush to add some wet watercolor to the pan and then have your tiny tot drive their wheels through paint. Then have them drive all over a white sheet of paper. And just like that - art! The final move is to cut out in a heart shape and add any type of candy on top.
